Saturday 25th July 2009

Well decided to start a blog to track my weight loss. It will also give me the ability to track all my favourite weight loss weblinks from one place as links. I feel a little self conscious creating a blog as I don't really want to publish anything about myself online, no matter how "anonymous" it feels.

Finding it easy to drink my 2-3 litres of water as I have cut out all other drinks with the exception of a glass of fruit juice a day or a smoothie.

My vices before I started my diet was Guinness (hmmmmmm) and pizza. I would often get bevvied up on 20 pints of Guinness (yes you read that right), then start on the slammers. I would get home bladdered and not remember shit from the night before. I hate this and need to stop it, and following a diet is perfect. I would also order pizza when I got home from the pub and so I was doubling up the shit that was going into me.

I did Weight Watchers a couple of years ago and lost 3stone in 3months due to cutting out beer and hitting the gym every day. Unfortunately, I put all this weight back on. Therefore, now, I am really going to have to apply myself.

I recently got married (July 09) and hated seeing myself in the wedding photos and this has finally prompted me that I need to do something about it. The pix of me around the pool resemble the ubiqutous "beached whale).

Well next year, the wife and I are going to Turkey for a friends wedding, and there will be quite a few of us going. I don't wanna be that "fat bastard" next year, so I am aiming for a weight loss of 2lbs a week.
