What a bloody lush lunch :)

I am lucky in that I get to work from home once or twice a week. This means I can have a break from the shitty arsed microwave meals or cold lunches. The office only has a fridge, freezer and microwave.

So, as I am able to use the oven, I just had the following;


2 x Sainsburys Be Good To Yourself Sausages 2½pts
4 x Aunt Bessies Little Yorkie Puds 3½pts
Gravy 1pt
Mixed Steamed Veg ½pt (sweetcorn)
Weight Watchers Banoffee Pie 3pts

Total points for an amazingly filling lunch 10½pts

Weekly Weight Loss Update

As Blur sang in Song 2 "Woohoo." I lost 1½lbs this week.

I didn't expect to lose anything this week due to my wreckless weekend.
I made up for the bad weekend of ice cream and pizza by cutting back on the points usage on the Sunday, Monday and Tuesday leading up to today's weigh in. I also upped my exercise including 2 games of squash. In fact, my exercise points last week earned me 51½ points. 21½ points of this came from just two games of squash. One game lasting 40mins and the other 70mins. And yes, my legs know they played 70mins of squash last night. It took me an hour to drive home, and I immediately went out on a 2½ mile walk.

I'm off out for a walk tonight but my legs don't want me to go anywhere! I am also playing squash tomorrow night and Friday night. Going on a 2½ mile walk after squash tomorrow too, and a 5½ mile walk on Saturday morning before I have to go to the wedding. Speaking of which, I better get a bloody haircut! Bank Holiday Weekend

Gonna be bloody hard sticking to my points this weekend.

I am at a wedding on Saturday so it won't be possible to point my food that day. On the Sunday, my wife and I along with a relatively large group of friends are going to Camden on the lash for the day and evening. I say lash, I won't be drinking (or trying not to), but it's gonna be bloody hard.

Tomorrow's Weigh In

Not feeling too confident for tomorrow's weigh in.

I am permitted 31 points a day, and on Saturday I went waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over.

79 points I used.

Started the day off well with a fruit salad for breakfast at 4pts, and then had a healthy ham and turkey 12" subway sandwich for lunch which was 7½pts.

Then everything went Pete Tong in the evening.

I gorged (yes that's the correct adjective) on six Snickers Ice Creams which weighed in at a heft 24pts. So that meant 35½ used for the day. Was I satisfied with that? Was I bugger! I then had a large full house pizza from Dominos. First pizza I have had in nearly 2 months. I ate 9 out of the 10 slices. This was a very large 43½pts just for the pizza. I did have the light cheese, and it was thin crust, so I estimate the points to be around 7-8 less than that. however, for the purposes of my current weight loss program, I have kept it as 43½pts in my planner.

I have made the points up (and some), by limiting myself over the next three days to around 16pts. I have also been doing a lot of walking, and last night and tonight, I am also playing squash.

As I said, I don't expect to lose weight as a result. Therefore, I think it would be a bonus if I lose weight, but fingers crossed I stay the same and don't actually put weight on.

Played 50mins of squash. Earnt 9½points.

Planning on a 2 hour walk around Pittsford reservoir. This will earn me 9½points.
Sunday Morning
Planning on a 2.3 miles around the local country park in 38mins. Will earn 3points.

Chips!!!!!

Having chip shop chips for lunch. 9½pts but sod it. Not had any in months!!!!!

I am a very very lucky man, as my gorgeous wife made me my dinner. Personally, I would have made it, but I would have excluded the spuds as I am a lazy shit.

Christmas

Last year the wife and I went to Goa for Christmas and Easter (don't recommend Easter, it's far too humid and your clothes are soaking as soon as you leave the air conned room).

This year we are visiting Reykjavik for Christmas and staying at Hotel Bjork. (All is full of love anyone)?


I'm looking forward to visiting the blue lagoon

I would love to have lost another 21lbs by the time this trip comes around. I want to sit in the lagoon without the blob around my waist. She has never ever said anything, but my wife can't be happy with the way I look. Especially in public. If I manage two pound a week, then that would be 36lb by the time my trip comes around. Fingers crossed eh?

Weekly Weight Loss Update

Lost 2½lbs this week.

That means I have lost a total of 16lbs or 1stone 2lbs in 4 weeks. This also means I have earned my second 7lb star with WeightWatchers. A purple one this time.......... ooooo!! LOL

I know I am hoping for too much, and I shouldn't be impatient, but I would love to lose 3lbs next week and see that 16 appear on the scales next to stone.

I have a wedding to go to a week Saturday, and I am playing godfather (not the Marlon Brando kind), next month to a friends baby. These are the same friends who we are going to Turkey with next year for their wedding.

Sore Ankle

Walked 2½miles this morning at 6:30, and my ankle was sore. Went for an additional 2½miles tonight. This has earnt me 6 bonus points on my diet. However, my ankle is proper bloody sore now! :-(

Weigh Day Again Today

Well I am bloody chuffed.

Managed to lose another 3½lbs this week. So that makes it 13½lbs in 3 weeks. I know it will slow down, and it has to, but I am still very happy with my progress.

I don't feel any slimmer or think I look any slimmer, so tonight, I took the bathroom scales down to the dining table. I then loaded jars and cans into a carrier bag until it weighed 13½lb. Jesus Christ, it is bloody heavy. I would struggle to fill a ruck sack with that lot and go for a nice country walk. It would just be too heavy. So another 3½stone, or 49lbs to go to get 13stone 12lbs. (194lbs). It is very motivating to tangibly "feel" the weight I have lost thus far.

Also, on Weight Watchers last week, I was awarded my silver 7 star to indicate a weight loss of 7lbs. This week I earned another silver star. This time 5%, indicating I have lost 5% of my starting weight. Therefore, I am halfway on target to my first goal of losing 10% of my starting weight. I need to get down to 16stone 8lb (232lbs), to achieve this. Thing is, I am actually excited and looking forward to reaching it. I feel very motivated right now.

Hobbling along today.

Managed to go for a walk around a country park every day last week, but with the lovely weather this weekend, I went for a walk around Pittsford Reservoir yesterday.

I thought I would need my walking boots having never been there before. However it has a nice path for cycling and walking on. This meant the nice thick socks I wore for my boots were not very suitable for my trainers. I have a huge blister in the middle of my right foot that STINGS like buggery. Walked slightly over the 7.5 circumerference by about approximately another quarter of a mile. Good thing was, I walked it in 1hr 55mins.

Anyway, it didn't stop me going on a 2.3mile walk today. Completed the walk in my usual 40mins too.

Anyway, will still go to the gym in the morning and get my lard arse and beer gut on the cycle for 30mins and then hit the rowing machine for 15mins, and try and walk on the treadmill for 30mins. However, the blister is extremely sore. The wife told me off last night for popping it. In addition, going out for a country park walk tomorrow night which will be an additional 40mins exercise.

Weight Loss Update

26th July 2009

I managed to lose 5.5lbs at my first weigh in. Very pleased with this, although I know most of any wightloss in the first week is supposed to be water.

5th August 2009

Woohoo, lost another 4.5lbs this week meaning a loss so far of 10lbs in 2 weeks. I know I can't kepe this up, but my goal is 4lbs over the next two weigh in's. If I can accomplish that, it means this "fat bastard" will have lost a stone in a month.

My immediate target weight is 16stone 7lbs. This will mean I have lost 10% of my starting weight. My overall target weight is 14stone. I know this still makes me "overweight" according to all the stats, BMI etc, however, I think I would look so gaunt and ill if I was lower than that.

I never mentioned it before, my starting weight was 18 stone 4.5lb.
